1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email) and data from your connected QuickBooks Online account including transaction records, account balances, and company information. We do not collect payment card data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely to provide ClearLedgerHQ services: identifying SR&ED and IRC §41 tax credit opportunities, calculating burn rate and runway metrics, and generating financial reports. We never sell your data to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers. QuickBooks connection tokens are encrypted at rest. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Authentication is handled by Clerk, a SOC 2 compliant identity provider.
4. Third-Party Services
ClearLedgerHQ integrates with: Intuit QuickBooks Online (financial data), Clerk (authentication), OpenAI (AI-powered transaction categorization), and Replit (hosting infrastructure). Each service maintains their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@clearledgerhq.com. QBO connection tokens are immediately revoked upon disconnection.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. For Canadian users, we comply with PIPEDA. For users in Quebec, we comply with Law 25. Contact us at support@clearledgerhq.com for any privacy requests.
